EBI: You need to refer to the audience more – what is the effect of the technique that you are explaining? How does it set the audience up for being curious to watch the rest of the film? Atmosphere. Mood. Tension. Humour. Drama etc. WHEN THIS IS DONE: Just add references to the following: BINARY OPPOSITION; NARRATIVE METAPHOR; USES AND GRATIFICATIONS THEORY - you'll need to look all of this up and relate them specifically to particular aspects of the scene.
